Scholarships
From the beginning, California's fresh grape farmers have recognized the importance of supporting the communities where they live and work. Fresh grape farmers throughout the state volunteer their time and service for associations, boards and charitable organizations. For nearly 25 years, California's fresh grape farmers have supported their workers and their communities with the nation's first worker-focused scholarship program.
Today, that program has helped send nearly 100 students to college. The program currently awards three $16,000 college or university scholarships.
The application period is from January to March each year and awards are made in May. Applications are mailed to high schools in the San Joaquin and Coachella Valleys as well as to table grape farmers to distribute to their employees.
